I haven't tried it, but in the past I had very good results with BO on the C86 using the Epson ink on EEM. After switching to the MIS EZ inkset, I was dismayed to find that, to my eye, the prints were no smoother or more detailed than the BO prints (I made a post about this sometime in May) and the only difference to my eye was the visibly warmer tone of the BO prints. Strangely, now that I have the MIS EZ inks installed, the BO prints on my C86 (with Eboni ink) show banding -- even after doing several head alignments. It's a pity, because the BO technique was faster and seemed to use much less ink. Perhaps it's time to go back and see what I can do to get rid of the banding.
