Additionally, the syringes will eventually get very stiff. To put this off as long as possible, you can use a bit of silicone spray on the rubber. I spray a little on a folded paper towel (vent fan going) and just roll the edge of the rubber plunger across the dampened paper towel before putting the cleaned syringes back together and into a zip lock for storage.
