I'm not sure necessarily favor the R200 over the C86 (I have no experience with a C88). I think the R200 has a better matte dmax and deep shadow performance, and the C86 has a better glossy paper dmax. For a lot of my printing, the R200 deep shadow performance matters. I think most will not notice the highlight performance differences in actual prints. Time will tell whether one is more reliable than the other. I assume the C86 has more cleaning cycles built in since it's designed for pigments. If one uses the R200 reasonably frequently, however, I hope it would be as reliable. We'll see.
