Hi Steve, I think it may have been Clayton who contributed this method: - When you're ready to change the carts that are low, bring the carriage to the appropriate position - Replace the necessary carts but don't press the "ink" button - Wait several minutes for gravity to "prime" the head with ink from the new carts - Turn the printer off and wait a minute or two - Now when you turn the printer on again, the unit should assume the "ready state" without triggering a "charging cycle" I couldn't find the original post, so I hope that I have credited and quoted it correctly. The method does seem to work just fine... Hope this helps!
