Something to note: Notice that Hawk Mountain sells what they call proofing quality papers made of the same materials as the premium papers. No one can be 100%. They seem to catch most of the blemished bits and use them for other things. That should even things out to less defective premium product that ships. The only real negative I can find is dmax on some papers with certain matte black inks. I don't remember which papers were good, and which papers were not, it's on the list to test for my paper swatch book. Last time I tested with Eboni black, and two papers and all the canvas were good, but several papers had a low dmax. Different inks, different RIP, more control. The Innova papers turned out better this time, I'm hoping that most of the Hawk Mountain papers will turn out better this time too.
