No worries - I must be getting thin skinned. Can't blame you for the price shock. You should have seen my wife's face when the 7000 first arrived :-) There does seem to be a gap in Epson's lineup at the moment. Problem pricewizse is that above the 1280/90, Epson move in to pro territory, with pro pricing. The 3000 still sells, so I guess for the moment they can focus on the 10000 and upcoming rumoured 8000 series. I justify my 7000 by driving an old Ford instead of a newer car. I'm printing off an A2 print on it at the moment.
