I've finally got the R1800 working well with the K4 inks, with LLK in the red position, and LK in the glop position. Finally, no microbanding. I am still using the glop though, misted on very lightly with an airbrush. It doesn't help as much as it used to with the UC inks, (because the problem is almost completely eliminated) but it does clear that slight bit of veiling and very slight gloss differential still left. And guess what: the last bottle of glop I got is clear, not tea colored, so it doesn't yellow your highlights.
