Hello all, Hoping someone can help with this since MIS tech support is busy. When I received my warm tone inks last week and installed them I had a standing red light. called them and was informed that the chip was bad on the yellow cart. They sent me a new one right away. Installed the new chip and it worked. Great so far. Printed a test shot using the setup on Paul Roark workflow and the print came out dead neutral. Great for some but I like the carbon look. Pulled the cartridge out to confirm that I received the right carts and not the neutral inks and sure enough it was the right inks. Placed the cart back in and have the standing red light again. Is this a constant problem with these carts? Will I have to order chips all the time? This is really inconvenient. And then why are the prints dead neutral? When my 1280 died I went with the R200 but MIS didn't have the inks at the time, so I bought Mediastreet's quad blacks and it worked great especially since it used QTR which I bought for the 11280. Unfortunately I had a question which I posted on this forum and no one replied so I figured that most of you folks are on MIS inks or the Piezo inks. So I have been making do and experimenting the best I can and life was good. When I saw MIS came out with the inks for my printer I thought I can save some money and have better support on this forum. Did I make the wrong call here? Will I have to go back to Mediastreet? After my fiasco with cfs on the 1280 all I want is no fuss carts. Replacing chips is an inconvenience. I rather spend that time working in CS2. So is this a constant problem with these carts and why are the prints dead neutral? Hoping someone can help me and not make me regret going back to MIS. Also Roy, will you ever make QTR available to the R200 with MIS inks? Thank you
