It appears MIS has some incorrectly marked R2 Warm carts out there. The R2
warm should be pure carbon.

Sometimes it's the contact between the chip and printer. Last night I had
to put a few 1/8" square pieces of tape below the chip to raise it up a bit.
That cured the problem.

A certain percentage of the carts appear to be a few paper thicknesses too
short, and a certain percentage of chips are bad. So, you should have some
extra chips and save those off old carts for spares.

MIS told me they just bought a chip tester, but I'm not sure what percentage
of the incoming chips they are testing. These problems are a nuisance for
them and us. Hopefully they'll find some workable and affordable solutions.
