Hello Eirik; The Epson Carts and most after-market carts don't have channels etc in the cart, just a plastic bag, which probably rquires les suctio9n from the head to get the ink flowing. But it does sound like you don't have enough suction, and there are two points where it can get choked off. The first one is obvious-the head itself may be blocked up. The second one is the filter in the little transparent 'damper' that creates a reservoir of ink at the head. Remedies, if either of these are the problem: Get a copy of the 7500 manual on PDF for reference. Move the head (printer off) to the center of the printer, and lay down some paper towels under it. Take the head cover off, & throw it in a drawer, you don't need it. Remove the damper hold-down bar. This will give you access to the individual dampers. Carefuly pry off the K damper, loosen the plastic nut at the back and remove the damper from the line. With a syringe and a bottom-fill adapter, gently push some cleaning fluid or amonia-based window cleaner backwards through the damper until the little circular filter looks fairly clean and will allow easy passage of fluid. Replace the damper on the line & tape it all out of the way. Put a 6"length of small diameter plastic or rubber tubing on the end of the bottom fill adapter, take up ssome cleaning fluid, and slip the end of it onto the ink-port nipple on the head. Gently push some cleaning fluid through the head. If you have trouble doing so, push back-and-forth a few times, replacing the dity fluid each time, until you can get a slow, steady flow through the head. Remember, be gentle! Once you get the head flowing well, leav cleaning fluid in it, and go back to the damper. Take the tube off the syringe, apply the bottom fill adapter to the ink port on the damper, and pull ink through. Do it with the damper in a vertical position, so you mostly fill the entire damper with ink, you need the reserve in it. When you have that right, put th damper back on th machine, put the hold-down bar on, move the head back to the lock position. Do at least 3 cleaning cycles before bothering with a nozzle test. Everytime I've had to take dampers of mine, it took 5-6 cycles to get the ink flowing again, so don't give up too quickly.
