Re: [Digital BW] Glossy paper preferences?

2006-04-01 by elwood@wsnconsult.com

Tyler

I have been doing some experiments with the Kodak Pro Glossy and the first results are (subjectively) good. My approach is to see if I like the overall look and feel of images before getting scientific and comparing DMax, building special profiles etc. This has saved me loads of time in the past when I found papers had characteristics I just did not like and I spent no more time evaluating.

Well I like the overall presentation of Kodak Pro Glossy so I will now embark on measuring and profiling to get the best results I can.

I will share my findings

Best

So, as I mentioned, a Kodak and an Ilford have been touted in the
past. If any one has any comments about them or other recommendations,
 I'll apreciate it.
This group over all others is picky about paper, I wouldn't bother
 asking elsewhere.
 Thanks again, hang in there...
