The newer inksets will also print OK with no image editor at all, but Photoshop and Photoshop Elements is the recommended image editor because they both use a "Print Preview" that allows the use of ICCs made with Roy Harrington's "Create ICC" program. So, the main workflow I'm now using includes Photoshop, Roy's Create ICC, and the Epson driver.
