Sarah, You will most likely get some ink on your fingers unless you wear latex gloves. As Tom said, best to buy some bulk ink from MIS along with some of their refillable carts and syringes. You'll also need a bottom fill adapter for the syringe to remove air from the cartridge valve before using for the first time. MIS has detailed instructions for refilling.
