Hello Levin29, >i do not like any of the print colors that i get with mis ut2 or >the neutral utfsn. i love the color of ebony, but do not get >satisfactory results(on 1280 epson) printing black only. the >quality just is not as good as with the 'color' converted cartridge. >what can i do that is not too complicated? You have nicely summed up the dilemma that many of us faced for several years. Even though BO prints are grainy, I stuck with that as my primary method for several years because I too didn't care for the color and general look of the easy out-of-the-box methods with the full ink sets (UT2, UT7, EZ-C86, etc). The only way to get control of these inks and get what you want is to use a RIP, which may take it beyond the border of "not too complicated" for you. The only thing I can recommend that gives really beautiful results and is as easy as BO or the EZ methods is the new 2400 in ABW mode. Only problem is it's an $800 printer. But I've found it to be worth every penny. So scrape together all your shekels, sell your baseball card collection and anything else you can part with, and run don't walk and get a 2400. Great printer. Regards, Clayton Info on black and white digital printing at http://www.cjcom.net/digiprnarts.htm
