Sounds like you are printing with the Mk on a glossy paper, when you 
need the Pk.

I don't use the 1800, but doesn't it have both black isntalled and 
pciks between them? I'm not sure how you (or QTR) tells it which 
black to pick?

And does QTR tell it to run the Glop as well to coat it?

Ypur using a Matte Curve? but with semigloss paper settigns?
