Hi Carl & Gang Yes Heres My Take..and its Not only with the Innova But with all three papers.. I Havent played with the material as much as we would have liked her at Shades..because I found it to be more beneficial to get the material out to actual users who print for pay or print for themselves and sell their work..as we all need to make a living..LOL.. I find that with each batch the coating is getting better and the paper surface a tad smoother. On The Innova I found that the black labeled product was a smoother batch than the blue labeled product. On the Hahnemuhle I have received The rolls that were actually labeled wrong was the best batch yet.. On the Crane it seems to be getting better as I was Told I will be getting 8.5x11 sheets tomorrow off of the 4th run..Horray at last! And Crane has reported to me a smoother coating and surface Ill check a box when it arrives.. I believe That as more of this paper is made the better it will become. All three have been rushing to get this product to the market and the demand has been overwhelming and when they rush things get by..thats my best answer.. And My take Thanks Gang for all of the support! Now if I can Ask a question to the groupIs there any products that I am not carrying that I should be? And Tell me which paper everyone likes out of these new papers..I enjoy hearing the comments..As I am still struggling with these papers as I really like the rag papers and Matt black inks.. Cheers to ALL!! Jim Doyle J. Guess I've never seen the "smooth" good stuff. The deep "stippling" is present on all of the F-type that I have right now (17x22 and 11x17 inch sheets). Jim Doyle has probably seen more of this paper than most of us so he may be able to comment more on consistency.
