You may find the model number on the back of the monitor.  You could 
then look up the specs on the Dell website's support pages.

I also have an older Dell flat panel monitor -- a Model 1704FVP.  It is 
an LCD.  I calibrated it with a Pantone Spyder sensor, which is a very 
handy thing to have.
