Digital BW, The Print

Obsessive 35mm photogs often wet-darkroom printed 9 X 13.5 on 11X14,
when they obsess on full format. 

11X17 is for me at an optimum price point and IMO is MUCH more
impressive than "11X14" ever was with full 35mm format (eg 10.5 X
16.75)....but it doesn't fit prints into "standard"  precut mattes.
Less paper wasted with 11X17 full format than 11X14 full format, too. 

I find 11X17 opens images up FAR better than Letter, while costing a
lot less than 13X19. 

Still, a 4000ppi scan of a fine chrome can be shockingly better at
13X19 than at 11X17 (35mm Astia, with the right lenses, looks like 120
format)....wish I had a bigger printer than my 2200.
