The ink bag is enclosed in the cart and the space around the
bag inside the cart is airtight. There's an air inlet to that
space at the same side the ink seal is. When inserted in the
printer's cart slot the air inlet connects to a tube that is
connected to a small compressor in the printer. That's
activated when the printer runs and so pressure is created in
the cart. The carts are not on pressure when you buy them like
a bottle of Coke will be.
