That sounds like the comparison of my old MIS glop (looks like dark beer)
and the Glop Greg sent from Image Specialists (looks like light beer).  MIS
is probably using IS Glop.  IS appears to recommend it as a dilution base.
My experiments with Greg's sample is consistent with this.

It can probably be mixed, but I don't have that from any authoritative
source.  I know of no ink changes by MIS that have resulted in
incompatibility issues.
