Digital BW, The Print

Gary, I spent some time using Gretag Eye one and Profile Maker 4.0 at a
studio that I worked at. It produced fine results but at 4000.00, I needed
to let it slide for a while before I joined the personal control arena. I
was very happy to see the product that Color Vision was putting out and at a
reasonable price. I would think that there will be other changes that you'll
need to worry about before either the PFP or Gretag are shot. Unlike Wilhelm
years, it is hard to put an abuse rating on equipment to see how they
perform under duress.

On the topic of printer / paper profiles for color or b&w does anyone 
have recommendations on the use of PrintFix Pro 2 vs. Gretag Eye One 
Design or Photo? I see the Gretag costs more but I only want to spend 
the money one time and want to develop a good working system that will 
last for some time.
