Digital BW, The Print

I am a relative newbie to digital B&W printing although I've had a 
wet darkroom for over 35 years.
I've been following this list for a while and am bedazzled by all the 
talk of curves, custom inks etc.
I remain committed to B&W.  Color is fun, but never tugs at my heartstrings.
I thought of starting with a high end Epson printer, but then decided 
that it might be best to walk before running.
So, after reading some of Paul Roark's comments I've opted for a 
cheapie (but new) C88.
Until it arrives, I'd like to read up.
I've got Paul's sites bookmarked and that should keep me busy.
However, if anyone would care to share links to other practical "how 
to" sites I'd appreciate it.

P. S. I just shake my head when I look at my Nikon N90 just sitting 
there.  Oh well, may be I'll get nostalgic and shoot some film one day.
