I have the Xrite at work and do alot of the haze and color checking, gloss meters....
Never thought of using it on the photo stuff...........
I do QA work for a Coating company,
we do canvas, dryerase, drafting films, dps, and inkjet matte films........
I'll investigate further..........

So is a densitometer all that is needed with my setup?
I see the PFP is over $500. I was hoping for less than $200. What
x-rite models are recommended?
