Digital BW, The Print

I just put away the CRT and got a Samsung 22" LCD. Obviously the shape
is different. Long rectangle rather than close to square. The images
look much better and I can see things better (including modification I
had done to some images..i.e. burning dodging etc.)

Problem is it is stretching my images as well. Square images are now
rectangles and the rectangles are grossly exagerated.

Is this a resolution issue? Is there a standard resolution that will
give me a normal looking shape to my photographs?
