my advice: dump the 1280. I have run a few different MIS ink sets in a couple of R200's including UT-R2, and they make prints of outstanding quality. My 1280 was slow and unreliable compared to the R200, so the last time it quit printing I just tossed it. If you are really adventurous you can use MIS ink in an R800/R1800 with QTR. With 1.5 picoliter droplets tones are very smooth and there are no dots visible in the highlights even using a 10x loupe.
