Having been impressed with Red River Aurora Natural on the 1800, I tried RR "UltraPro Satin 2.0" with the PKN I have in the 260. It's very impressive -- a low reflective semi-gloss (RC I believe) surface that has no serious reflective artifacts and doesn't even seem to show pizza wheel marks. The dmax is 2.45. The surfaces of the paper are acidic, but the interior appears to be buffered, according to my acid pen. It seems similar to the Epson Premium glossy types in that respect. See http://www.redrivercatalog.com/browse/cat=1&prod=20.htm It's closer in price to Costco than to the Epson Semigloss. The 260 PKN QTR BO actual picture image is probably better than what I've seen on either of these other papers with any other printer I've used. I've posted a new QTR profile for the 260 and Red River UltraPro Satin 2.0 at http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/New-QTR-Profiles.zip For simplicity (for me) I'll start using this general zip file for new QTR profiles for any printers. Right now that means the 1800 and 260. If profiles are incorporated in QTR downloads I'll get them out of the zip file to keep it reasonable. If the printer type is not obvious from the file's names, the printer names are inside the *.qidf files, which can be opened with Notepad. Paul www.PaulRoark.com
