See http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/R260.htm for a description of the inks. The PKN and PKC (cooler than the PKN) and midtone dilutions of them might be very interesting in the 1800. I'd use QTR, not the Epson driver. I suspect the 1800 will band with just one channel, so it might take some experimenting to see what makes the best combination. I don't really think the light midtones are needed with a 1.5 pl printer. My first shot might be to try the PKN with a couple neutral dark midtone channels.
