Well... I looked inside the printer with a flashlight with the cover up as it was printing and could not see what was causing the noise. I think perhaps it was happening each time the paper advanced. In any event, the sound has now mysteriously stopped and I have made many prints and smaller test prints without any noise. On another note: Does any know if this printer does a cleaning cycle EVERY time the machine is turned on?
