I have recently bought an r1800 and ordered carts and PKN inks from
MIS.  I will have spare carts and could fit a set of three as PKN and
another set of three using Eboni at the same time, to save switching
inks. Is this doable and, if so how would I set this up and control
the carts?  I seem to be incapable of getting good prints using QTR on
my 2100 with MIS inks and am concerned that I will not comprehend how
to set up the carts, qidf and quad files.

Do I need a special Eboni for the r1800 or is the Eboni I am currently
using in my 2100/2200 the same or not as suitable?
