I'm impressed by Legion-Moab's THREE "air dried glossy" types: http://www.moabpaper.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=107 #1 Colorado Fiber Satine, #2 Colorado Fiber Glossy, then #3 ultra-inexpensive DOUBLE SIDED (!) LaSal Photo Luster. All have a hint of fiber-like texture, look convincingly air-dried, show no "glitter" or bogus pearl-like texture. There's also high gloss and all sorts of mattes including what appears to be the old ultra-white double-sided Kayenta, now called LaSal Matte in a new weight. (LaSal is the name of some mountains in SE Utah...camped there recently) I prefer Colorado Fiber Satine with my 2200/OEM. Colorado Fiber Glossy's slight extra gloss seems to reduce differential...the gloss on white borders of both Colorado Fiber Glossy and LaSal Photo Luster seems sensitive to something in my 2200 transport system, might not be for more modern printers (but for that I'd be tempted by both). Both Colorado Satine and Gloss are very faintly more appealing to me than Lasal Gloss, but they're all very close. Legion has a deal on a comprehensive Moab sample pack. --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "Tyler Boley" <tyler@...> wrote: > > --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "Bob Frost" > <bob@> wrote: > > > > >And I, too have been perplexed > > >as to why these companies aren't more in contact with printers on this > > >forum,
