"dropping ink"...do you mean actual drops in the
middle of prints or are you talking about ink near the
leading edge ...like 1/2" in? 

I found the latter has to do with the curvature of
heavy paper ...for example, Entrada 300gsm benefits by
being flexed back and forth a bit before insertion, to
break its inherent tendencies (rear loading).
