The absolute minimum requirement for BO printing on the Epson R220
using  matte paper is to use one Prefilled Spongeless MISPRO Matte
Black Eboni Cart with Chip at $10.95

The next step up is to get one or more empty carts and chips for the K
position, a 4oz bottle of Ebony black, a chip resetter, serynge and
bottom fill adaptor. 

You can also get empty carts for the other inks position, fill them
with  MIS cleaning fluid. That's the setup I'm using with an Epson R260.

Are non Epson carts still available from MIS? You'll have to check
with them.
