I agree totally with the respondent to your question... (can't see his
name right now the way this page is set up). But that's exactly how I
got started, with a 220 and the Eboni cartridge in the black position.
Worked just great. My only concern now is as to the future
availability of these carts in view of the Epson suit.

But yes, his recommendation is an excellent way to start. It's simple
and straightforward with very pleasing results. Have you seen Clayton
Jones' website? I can post that link later if you'd like.
