I was going to order these, and then I noticed that they only supply 8 carts in a set. I queried this with them, and was told that you can use the T0598 cart for both photo and matte black. This causes me several concerns. First, if you are going to use both photo and matte black, you are going to need two black cartridges to do the swap. Certainly my set of refillable carts for the 2200 has two empties for black. What have other people been supplied with? Second, how does the printer respond if you give it a cart with a matte black chip but photo black ink? Can you use the printer preference settings to tell it that no, in fact it is the other black ink? If not, this will surely affect your paper choice options. I thought that the amount of ink that the printer driver put down on the paper was influenced by what paper / ink combination it thinks it has. Am I right about this?
