Coin, The feed slot I was referring to is on the top of the printer in the rear and yes it is the one designed for heavy fine art papers. I don't use the Epson driver with the 1800 - only QTR and with the latter you must specify the "manual roll" feed option in the final print dialog if you use this slot.
