AlphaMat Artcare is supposed to be an excellent product.  See 
http://www.nielsen-bainbridge.com/bainbridge/NB-SysAlphamat.html  In 
addition to buffering, the product contains molecular traps or 
zeolites that absorb atmospheric pollutants.  See
