I'm going to post this here just for those interested in this specific topic. I'm lifting this info from someone uncredited.. just to help protect their inside position... Quote- The fact of the matter is, the two applications use two different print engines. Adobe is working on getting the two in sync but they are different and this isn't a CMM or BPC issue. Plus, one or the other (I suspect Photoshop) has a rare bug which no one seems to know what causes it to show up or how to fix it. That is, there are enough users reporting differences between the two applications that its not user error but not enough to convince me that its anything but a rare occurrence. If you read the Adobe UtoU forums (or other's), some people are reporting differences, some dramatic and based on their conversations, they are pressing the right buttons, picking the right options. Again, why this shows up is a mystery to just about everyone including Adobe. What's odd is, if you try to print the same document in say InDesign, it prints differently than Photoshop, making me think there's something lurking in the Photoshop code that needs a few fixes. end quote. Perhaps this helps some users to know. Worth keeping an eye out for if you use both apps. Tyler
