Digital BW, The Print

At the Espon Store today, customer service is offering the R1800 for $399 with free shipping. They seem to have plenty available with a 1 year warranty. Unfortunately, they could not clarify what 'Currently Out of Stock' means for new units as there is no internal notice of a halt in production nor could they offer when they might have some newly manufactured ones in stock. What's the historical interpertation of these Epson messages, and how wise is it to get a refurb unit now considering it may come without the manuals, accessories and even some of the software?
