FWIW, I've bought a number of the refurb C88s from Epson over the past few years, and except for the plain brown box they came in I don't believe there was anything "missing" as compared to a new unit. They all had manuals (quick start and full) and a software disk and power cords, plus a set of Epson brand ink cartridges that were worth as much alone as the price of the printer. An 1800 obviously won't be quite that great a bargain, but I'd be surprised if there were anything missing except the printed outer box.
