Rich, I am also using Copygraphics. Peter Ellzey has been a big help. I have only done a couple of rounds of tests on my adjustmet curves. My first results were fairly disappointing. I am using a cold light enlarger as the light source and printing on Ilford Multigrade paper. My first test was with the Folberg curve and a diffusion dither. The resulting print is rather harsh and grainy looking. Second neg was done with the Lenswork curve at 300 line screen. 300 instead of 425 because the image has large areas of gentle gradation that I wanted to preserve. The resulting print is very flat with vieled highlights. Back to the Folberg curve for some more testing. I found that the negatives do not react to paper grade changes the same way conventional negatives do. It seems that the contrast is determined more by exposure than by paper grade. Using the same Folberg curve neg I made new prints with a grade 1 filter. I had to increase the exposure by one half stop to get the same density in the blacks. The resulting print has lower contrast, but more importantly to me is that the harsh grainy look has softened consideralby. Adjusting the exposure changes the density of the shadows but has little effect in the highlights. I would be very interested in your experiences.
