Is MIS's Eboni Black the same as R1800 MK?

I was told by a vendor of Image Specialist inks that the Eboni Black
ink sold by MIS is the same ink as the matte black used in the IS bulk
inks for the R800/R1800.  Can anyone confirm or deny this.  Has anyone
compared output from the two inks on the same media?
