I second your comment on the Harmon Gloss..I find it outstanding for my b/w and also feel it works well for Color.the Ilford Gold is a good choise as well. It has a bit too much texture for my taste but is substantially cheaper than the Harmon Fiber. Another nice one is the Epson Exhibition Fiber. Again it has some Texture as well. Closest thing I have ever found to silver. I have looked at them all. Very expensive, but beautiful surface and amazingly high d-max and sharpness. For an RC type paper I have been using Epson Premium Semigloss for years. It is much cheaper and looks really good drymounted. Saying that though, the Harmon is better if you can afford it. One way I have kept cost down is that I have taken and really like Clayton Jones' suggestion of making test prints on 1/4 letter sized pieces. Never thought that would work, but it does wonderfully and saves a bundle on ink and paper.
