These days, *all* electronics should be treated as if they have toxic  
metals.  While printers have a pretty small amount of electronics in  
them, disposing of them properly is, I think, important.  I suggest  
you contact your city or county government and ask them if they  
operate or recommend any electronics recycling programs.
