Thanks Paul. After reading your email I dropped my plan to use dye inks in R1800 together with 3MKs. Instead, I have some UT7 inks available and it was originally for an Epson 2200 printer. Is it possible to use the ink on the same R1800 with 3MK together to make it multiple choices where I can choose to print 3MKs, or MKs with gray or toned inks?? For R1800, the rest of 5 unused ink positions are: Cyan, Magenda, Yellow, Red, Blue Other than MK/PK, UT7 has 6 inks: light black, dark gray, light gray, cool tone, sepia tone, light cool tone I would like to use light black, dark gray, light gray, cool tone, sepia tone in R1800's 5 positions. Any suggestion to set this up? BTW I printed a few pictures using 3MKs onto different sized Moab Entrada natural paper. Looking at the results I feel 3MK method is very excellent on 11x17 or larger paper. But for letter size some light black/gray/light gray inks may help to smooth the transition especially on light human skin tone. - philip pr_roark wrote: > > With a rip that can handle color, the 1800 has lots of > possibilities.
