I really recommend against using the auto head clean- if there's a channel that's just not printing it seems to suck out a lot of ink from the others. I think you're better off doing nozzle checks and manual head cleans and purge prints. I agree with the other poster about using the bottom fill adapter on your carts, especially ones not seeming to print at all (for stubborn channels try dripping a little bit of cleaning fluid on the spike they go into and on the park pad). I had one R1800 which just couldn't keep a consistent nozzle check no matter what. Pretty soon it didn't work any better with the OEM carts and inks. Epson replaced it with a new model that has no clogging issues at all.
