Tom, ... > Where can I find more information about using Eboni, Eb6-Yk and > distilled water with a 1400? Paul, I looked on your site but must > have missed it. I have not written the 1400 YK option up as a separate approach at this point. I do have some profiles in http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/1400-Profiles.zip for those with Eboni-6 in their 1400s. They can then see what the YK alone and with a 50/50 blend of black only looks like. I'd probably not use water in the other positions. I like the idea of 3Y3K or 4Y2K just to avoid having to re-fill the carts all the time -- particularly the Y cart. A 2 bottle CIS would be a nice addition to this type of setup. I just converted my old 2200 SuperJet CIS to this for the 2200 -- cut the ribbon, drill holes in MIS bottles, and insert the tubes (with some wire holding them together in the bottle). It's easy (if a bit messy with a used CIS). For most people the Eboni-6 as written up is probably the way to start. But I'm probably going to conver to a YK combo -- just don't need the other inks in 1.5 pl printers. Paul www.PaulRoark.com
