Digital BW, The Print

I just received my Spyder 3 Studio and I'm looking at the targets and the
profiling procedure in the help file. I understand how to profile using the
standard targets with color inks or the "extended grays" targets (which use
some color inks), but what do I do when I am printing with dedicated B&W
inks like the MIS UT or Piezo sets ? Can I use the QTR images ? Simply print
the color targets provided in gray-scale ?? I'm being lazy here and asking
some initial questions to put me on the fast track. Print profiling is new
to me, and I'd like to master it as quickly as possible.J
