Re: [Digital BW] Soft-proof "profile" for Piezotones?

2009-05-08 by Mark Savoia

Jon,
I made the decision when Tyler informed me he went through the whole
process for a bunch of paper and ink combos to provide to his clients
and either they did not know how to use them or never asked. The
client who was quizzing me turned out not to know much about anything,
had just heard the buzzword "soft proof" at some seminar. The scans he
provided me to make 30x40 prints were unusable, ....such crap people
are getting from certain "scan services". I requested the neg so we
can scan it ourselves but he was too nervous to let it travel via
FEDEX or other means, he is out of state. So for now, I will do what I
always do, make the client a small proof first and 99% of the time
they love it and OK it.
