Is it any good The MIS glop is close to if not identical to the base used for the UT B&W inks -- glossy compatible with the binder included in the base. MIS glop is a fine base for that purpose. The base I use for the Eboni-6 inkset is not, as far as I know, sold separately by MIS. The open source C6 base I've come up with is the best alternative to it. (See http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/Ink-Mixing.pdf) The base MIS has in the past sold as the UC or clear base has never been used by me for a B&W inkset. I've tested it on both glossy and matte paper for the various inksets I've made, and I've found its performance quite weak. Diluted it makes a good flushing fluid, but I do not recommend it for mixing inks. Hope this helps. Paul www.PaulRoark.com
