I've been using this Eboni mix as well as MIS's Eboni-6 for a couple of years now.  I can't tell any significant difference aside from the fact that the generic C6 base is more compatible with other inks.

The C6 base does not have any bioside in it.  I have never seen any difference, but I've heard of one report that suggests there can be biological activity in it.  I'm experimenting with copper ions in the water as a biocide.  But, as of now, I'm just using the current C6 base with none of this.
